Healthy Hooves® Sheep HH 109 is a concentrated, ready-to-use solution designed for footbaths and spray applications. Containing tea tree oil, mineral chelates and a patented stabilising ingredient. Healthy Hooves is safe, effective, easy to use & antibiotic free.

Proven in farm trials HH 109 has shown effective footbath life for up to 800 ewe passes in a 100 litre footbath and 500 cattle passes in a 200 litre footbath.

This product is ideal for spray applications where it’s not practical to mix solutions each time.

Sheep

For use in footbaths

Initial Use

Dilution: 4% in water + 1% Zinc Sulphate

Frequency: Footbath for 4 consecutive days

Ongoing Use

Dilution: 2 in water + 1% Zinc Sulphate

Frequency: Footbath as required

Cattle

For use in footbaths

Dilution: 2% in water + 2% Copper Sulphate

Frequency: Footbath for 2 consecutive days, every 6-8 weeks

Spray Applications

Dilution: 4% in water + 1% Zinc Sulphate

Frequency: Apply daily as required

Importance of footbathing

Hoof health is essential for the well being of sheep and cattle, as their mobility, livelihood and productivity is impacted. Lameness, a concern for most farmers, can result in pain and decreased feed intake leading to significant financial losses, making hoof treatment an important part of farm management. Footbathing is the process of immersing the hooves in a solution typically containing water and chemicals like copper sulphate and zinc sulphate. When carried out correctly, footbathing is a simple and cost effective way to help reduce diseases such as, Digital Dermatitis and Contagious Ovine Digital Dermatitis (CODD), Keeping livestock healthy and increasing profitability.
